About WorldVote
A public map for alternative place names.
WorldVote is a community experiment where people propose alternative names for countries, cities, rivers, lakes, mountains and other geographic places, then vote on those proposals.
How it works
Choose a supported place on the map, submit a public rename proposal, and let the community vote. Proposals have public thresholds, voting windows, and a preserved outcome history.
Approved names appear only as a WorldVote community layer. Official geographic names and Mapbox source geography remain unchanged.
